Term Two

Gosh, Term one flew buy! We have all learned how to drive our cars and do the right thing. Everyone in Room 5 tries so hard to do this. WHAT AN AWESOME CLASS!  Unfortunetly two children, Rupert and Dyllan have left to go north to live. We miss them already! Good luck at your new schools.
Term 2 is going to be such fun! We have a new girl in our class all the way from Canada. We have Hiwi the Kiwi coming to visit with The Minstrel,  so is the artist Stu Duval and we are going to watch a show at Pataka about the books in the NZ Post Book Awards. We are also in training for the school cross country in week 6 and we will be practicing for the Cultural Concert at the end of term.
We are going to be learning about the SEA and everything in it. So my salty sea dogs, get your sea legs ready and be prepared cast off.

Camborne Walk

On Wednesday 24th Feb Room 5 went on the Camborne Walk with all of Kowhai Syndicate and lots of parents. It was a stunning day. We had a fantastic time. Everyone got on really well and had lots of fun. It was hard work walking back up the hill to Camborne at the end of the day, but we all did it! Thank you to all the parents who helped on the day and those who came for the picnic lunch. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much we did.

This term we are swimming in weeks 3, 4, 7 and 8. We will probably have Water Awareness in week 9. We are also doing athletics for P.E.
