Term 4

Hello Everyone. Welcome back to Term 4. Gosh the year is flying by! I'm sorry that I didn't do any blogging last term. We had an awesome time doing our Junior Production- 'And So It Began..' What stars you all are! Check out the photos of the children dressed in their costumes.

This term we are swimming in weeks 3, 4, 7 and 8. We will probably have Water Awareness in week 9. We are also doing athletics for P.E.

Term Two

Welcome back all you Spaliens (this is a secret word only Room 5 know about).

This term we are going out of this world into space! We have already learned lots about the 8 planets- tell your parents why Pluto is no longer a planet. Nearly everyone can say them in the right order. Check out this cool website about our Solar System.

We invented our own Spaliens and wrote a description of them. Then we drew them and coloured them in using pastels. Those pieces of artwork can be seen above on Bubbleshare.

Ben 10

My spalien is called Ben 10. It has 3 eyes. It has 2 love hearts. It has 4 feet and 4 shoes and 4 tentacles. My spalien lives in the sky. It’s got 4 arms. It’s got 45 fingers. It eats worms. It lives in a crater. By Logan K

My spalien has 28 eyes and her name is Spooky Bob. She has six ears and one big nose, 4 toes and 4 fingers. She lives on Mars and has two mouths. My spalien is very friendly. My Space Story. My alien is called Spalien Bob. He has one eye. He has very pointy teeth and very skinny legs. He ears other aliens but not Spooky Boo because he’s fat. He does not live on Saturn because Saturn is a big ball of gas and he would go right through it. He would go through Jupiter too. My alien lives on Mars. He is green. It is rocky where my Alien lives. He built a castle out of rocks so he has some shelter to sleep. He has his very own comet that he can control to fly around in space. Battle Hill picnic

Yesterday Kowhai syndicate went to Battle Hill farm for a picnic. Although it was quite cold we had a brilliant time. Room 5 let the chickens out, threw rocks in the stream, feed the eels with sausages and did lots of other fun activities. We could not have had such a good time without the parents who helped out. They were awesome, although a couple of them turned into bears and trolls! Here is a picture of a couple of the eels feeding.

Driving my car!

Plimmerton School has a Responsibility Road Code. We try to drive our car in the right direction and make respectful, responsible and right choices. Here is what some of the people in Room 5 wrote about how they want to drive their cars.

I am going to drive my car the right way so I don’t crash. If I make the right decision I won’t crash. Nobody else is allowed to drive my car. I’m the only one responsible for what I do. I will follow the road rules, so I don’t crash. Emily

You need to drive your car the right way. If you crash it’s not other people’s fault. It’s your fault and you’re responsible for the way it goes. Cassia

Welcome to Room 5 at Plimmerton School's blog. We are the best class in the school- just ask anyone in the class. We have had a great start to the year and I'm really looking forward to teaching such an awesome bunch of children over the year.
